Energy-Flow Model

The brain is a neural network. We can understand every aspect of the brain by considering the flow of energy, or electrical impulses, from one neuron to another.

In fact, we can understand the whole body, or even the whole world, in terms of energy flow. Light from the sun bounces off something and enters your eye, where it is turned into neural impulses that propagate through myriad neural connections in your brain, and eventually your brain produces some kind of output insofar as it sends motor nerve signals to move the body in some way.

Various Parts of the Energy-Flow Model:
  1. Symbolic Representation / Memory
  2. Goals
  3. Strategies
  4. Pleasure / Pain
  5. Intentionality / Meaning
  6. Consciousness
  7. Emotion / Qualia
